OLD SHIPS WHEEL - this has an indeterminate provenance
but was known to have hung in the Ferry Inn in Salcombe South Devon, until refurbishment of the pub in the late 1970’s, and may be decorative or perhaps came from an early sailing barque that carried grain down the Kingsbridge estuary in Devon from Southpool to Salcombe and then round to Plymouth - an artefact with great charm and perhaps many a story to tell, 1030 mm diameter with central brass boss and inset spline.
