Edna Lumb [1931-1992] was born in Leeds and sadly died aged just 60 years after a long illness during which she continued to produce renowned work. Her many subjects included steam powered engines in cotton mills and the hydraulic mechanism of Tower Bridge together with trains, trams, and buses. Her paintings feature in Galleries and Private Collections worldwide, including the Manchester, Bradford, and Oldham City Galleries, the National Railway Museum in York, and were included in The Great Yorkshire Millennium Art Exhibition in Scarborough in the year 2000. approx size 540x705
